Breast Cancer Drug Revoked

A breast cancer drug, Avastin, has been revoked due to a few different reasons. First off, Avastin has recently been used as a drug in advanced breast cancer patients. However, since there is no substantial proof that it extends their lives and along with it having some potentially dangerous side effects, it has been revoked.

Be careful though because doctors may still prescribe you to use this drug, but your insurance provider may no longer pay for it. Just to give you an idea, a year's treatment with Avastin can cost of upwards to $100,000.
